Born in 1975, in Lazio, Italy, Emanuel has been based in London for over two decades. Formally trained at Rosetta Studio, he absorbed a vast knowledge of art and design. Inspired to specialise in Analogue Arts, Emanuel adopted the digitalisation of his work through the use of a drum scanner that provided excellent resolution and refined digital files for his analogue works.
Emanuel’s work is characterised by his passion for geometry and his signature method used in image composition.
His photographs are often recognisable by their natural vibrant colors without any digital editing. His process is deliberate, tactile, and deeply intentional.
He favors landscapes due to his love for nature and travelling, but architecture, cultures, and folklore equally marvel him. He calculates light and form with precision, dedication, and determination, often waking at the crack of dawn to capture an image that only exists for that moment in time, in that season, and in that particular year.
His work is defined by rich textures, natural light, and an honest, unfiltered perspective. With a deep respect for photographic history and process, Emanuel uses film not out of nostalgia, but as a conscious choice, to slow down, to reconnect, and to create images that feel as enduring as the medium itself.
